When Mountains Leapt

♪ Synced lyrics coming soon
Intro The waters rose in solemn flight, Mountains danced in ancient light. The earth itself began to breathe, A trembling song beneath our feet.
Verse 1 When Israel walked, unshackled, free, A foreign land gave way to sea. The Jordan split, a path was made, A fearful tide at His parade.
Chorus Why did you flee, O sea of despair? Why did you leap, O mountains so bare? The trembling earth, in awe, it cried, Before the God who turns stone to life.
Verse 2 He carved the streams from rock-bound chains, He loosed the waters from dry plains. In His shadow, nations quake, Their idols fall, their strongholds break.
Bridge O mountains high, O valleys low, You bow to Him, the one you know. His voice is thunder, soft yet clear, The earth responds, it draws Him near.
Chorus Why did you flee, O sea of despair? Why did you leap, O mountains so bare? The trembling earth, in awe, it cried, Before the God who turns stone to life.
Outro The waters whisper, the mountains sigh, His presence lingers, His name will rise. Forever marked in earth and flame, The trembling world will know His name.
